Anne-Marie Bryan Distinguished Professor of French and Francophone Studies
Felwine Sarr is a Senegalese scholar, writer, musician, and Anne-Marie Bryan Distinguished Professor of Romance Studies at Duke University. His work brings together economics, postcolonial thought, cultural theory, and African philosophies of value, with particular attention to how societies imagine and sustain collective futures. For RCGE, his thinking offers a vital framework for revaluing care beyond market logics, opening questions of repair, relational ethics, restitution, and shared worlds.
